Extra Programmes

Reading Recovery Program offers assistance to students in grade one at school who require additional assistance. The program involves a Reading Recovery trained teacher working daily in a one on one situation with the student. Parents are asked to support the program by completing activities each day at home.

Language Support Groups: Student Support Officers, under the guidance of a speech therapist, work up to three times a week with small groups of students to address particular literacy concerns. These groups operate across the school including students from all year levels.

Program for Students with Disabilities: this program is available for students who are eligible under the statewide government guidelines. Each PSD student has an individual learning plan developed through the teacher, parents and other appropriate professionals working together. These program support groups set educational, social and behavioural goals for each student and work together to achieve these goals.
